MV Bay Breeze<\/strong> is a passenger ferry<\/a> owned and operated by San Francisco Bay Ferry<\/a>. It frequently serves the Alameda Ferry<\/a>, Harbor Bay Ferry<\/a>, Oakland Ferry<\/a>, Richmond Ferry<\/a> and South San Francisco Ferry<\/a> routes. It has capacity for 250 passengers, 20 bikes, features onboard restrooms, snacks, drinks and WIFI, and is wheelchair accessible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The vessel was built by Nichols Brothers Boat Builders at a cost of $2.1 million and began service in 1994. It uses two MTU 16V2000 engines. From 1994 to 2014 water jets were used for propulsion, but those were replaced with a propeller in 2014. It can reach a service speed of 26 knots (30 miles per hour).<\/p>\n\n\n\n The MV Bay Breeze measures 29.6 meters in length and has a gross tonnage of 97 tons.
