The MV Caribbean is a auto and passenger ferry<\/a> vessel serving the Cross Sound Ferry<\/a> route between New London, Connecticut and Orient Point in Long Island, New York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The vessel was built in 1972 by Blount Marine, a commercial boat building company in Warren, Rhode Island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After five years providing ferry service throughout the Caribbean and West Indies, it was purchased by Cross Sound Ferry Services, Inc. in 1977.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
