It is 55 miles and takes 3 &#8211; 3.5 hours to cross.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The shortest ferry route in California is the <a href=\"http:\/\/localhost:4097\/ca\/j-mack\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"2457\">J-Mack Ferry<\/a>. It is less than 300 feet and takes approximately 2 minutes to cross.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The largest ferry operator in California, by number of routes serviced, is <a href=\"http:\/\/localhost:4097\/san-francisco-bay-ferry\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1425\">San Francisco Bay Ferry<\/a> which operates 10 ferry routes in the San Francisco Bay Area, two of which are seasonal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There are five ferry routes in California that transport vehicles.
