{"id":3015,"date":"2023-04-11T13:28:55","date_gmt":"2023-04-11T13:28:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:4097\/?p=3015"},"modified":"2023-04-11T15:34:29","modified_gmt":"2023-04-11T15:34:29","slug":"san-francisco-bay-ferry-ridership-surges-over-the-past-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/localhost:4097\/san-francisco-bay-ferry-ridership-surges-over-the-past-week\/","title":{"rendered":"San Francisco Bay Ferry Ridership Surges Over The Past Week"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/localhost:4097\/san-francisco-bay-ferry\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1425\">San Francisco Bay Ferry<\/a> has been seeing a surge in ridership over the past week, experiencing their biggest ridership weekend since Fleet Week back in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>According to data released by the San Francisco Bay Area Water Emergency Transportation Authority (WETA), San Francisco Bay Ferry achieved the following ridership milestones over the past week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Tuesday, April 5, 2023:<\/strong> Highest ridership weekday since October 2022.<sup><a href=\"#references\">[1]<\/a><\/sup><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Thursday, April 7, 2023:<\/strong> First three consecutive weekday run with ridership above 7,000 riders since 2020.<sup><a href=\"#references\">[2]<\/a><\/sup>\n<ul>\n<li>Tues, April 5, 2023: 7,857 riders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wed, April 6, 2023: 7,488 riders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thurs, April 7, 2023: 7,724 riders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sunday, April 9, 2023:<\/strong> Biggest ridership weekend since Fleet Week 2022.<sup><a href=\"#references\">[3]<\/a><\/sup><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This past weekend, SF Bay Ferry&#8217;s transbay service totaled 10,435 passengers, narrowly surpassing Presidents Day weekend 2023, and marking their highest weekend ridership figure so far this year according to Thomas Hall, WETA&#8217;s public information and marketing manager.<sup><a href=\"#references\">[4]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>San Francisco Bay Ferry should continue to see an increase in ferry ridership in the coming months as more passengers will ride the <a href=\"http:\/\/localhost:4097\/ferry\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1770\">ferry<\/a> thanks to service between <a href=\"http:\/\/localhost:4097\/ca\/alameda-san-francisco\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"41\">Alameda<\/a>\/<a href=\"http:\/\/localhost:4097\/ca\/oakland-san-francisco\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"115\">Oakland<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/localhost:4097\/ca\/vallejo-san-francisco\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"142\">Vallejo<\/a> to Oracle Park for San Francisco Giants afternoon home games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, average daily ridership sits at 69% when compared to April 2019, the last &#8216;normal&#8217; April, so every rider counts as SF Bay Ferry continues to get ridership back up to pre-pandemic levels.
