The Block Island Express is a seasonal passenger ferry service connecting New London, Connecticut and Block Island, Rhode Island.
Crossing times for the ferry are approximately 80 to 90 minutes depending on the vessel being used and current weather conditions.
Block Island Express is owned and operated by Cross Sound Ferry Services, Inc., the same company that owns and operates the Cross Sound Ferry.

Block Island Express Ferry Fares
The Block Island Express offers two fare types – standard fare and priority fare. Standard fares are $31.25 for adult one way trips or $59.00 for adult same day round trips. Priority fares are $37.00 for adult one way trips or $74.00 for adult round trips. Please see the tables below for a full list of fares.

Passengers paying priority fares receive preferred boarding status and can avoid change fees if they have to reschedule their reservation.
For children to qualify for child standard or priority fares, they must be under the age of 12. Children 2 and under are free.
Any child under 12 must be accompanied by a person 16 years of age or older.
Bicycle and Surfboard Fares
If you are bringing a bike or surfboard with you on your crossing, you will need to be an additional fare along with your standard or priority passenger fare.

Military Discount
The Block Island Express offers 25% off fares for those that are United States Active Duty Military. To qualify for the discount, passengers must show their US Active Duty Military ID in the ticket office. Limit one discounted ticket per military person.

Block Island Express Ferry Parking
The New London ferry terminal offers limited on-site parking for $10.00 per day. Parking is on a first come first served basis.
If the on-site parking lot is full, there is additional parking available directly across from the terminal at the Water Street Parking Garage.
Rates for the Water Street Parking Garage are $10 per day Mondays through Fridays and $15 per day on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
