MV Sea Jet I

The MV Sea Jet I is a high-speed passenger ferry vessel serving the Cross Sound Ferry and Block Island Express ferry routes.

The vessel has capacity for 400 passengers in total and is capable of speeds in excess of 30 knots (35 miles per hour).

It was built in 1989 by Nichols Bros. Boat Builders, a commercial boat builder in Freeland, Washington.

MV Sea Jet I served as a Hawaiian inter-island commuter ferry and dinner cruise boat before being acquired by Cross Sound Ferry Services, Inc. in 1995.
