Edmonds ferry terminal parking and directions
The Edmonds ferry terminal is at 199 Sunset Ave. S., Edmonds, WA 98020. From I-5 in either direction, drivers take exit 177 and follow SR 104 west for 4 miles, then follow the signs to the terminal. Vehicles enter the tollbooths at SR 104 and Dayton Street from northbound SR 104, not from Dayton Street.
Parking lots sit within a few blocks of the Edmonds ferry terminal. The U-Park lot at Sunset Ave. S. and James Street has 64 spaces, including 2 ADA spaces. Drivers with a disabled parking placard or plate park free in the U-Park lot.
Sounder commuter trains and Amtrak stop at the Edmonds station at 211 Railroad Ave., near the waterfront. Community Transit buses serve the Edmonds ferry terminal.
The Edmonds ferry terminal has a waiting room and restrooms but no bike racks. Cyclists skip the vehicle line to the lower dock, then buy tickets inside the passenger terminal.
Kingston ferry terminal parking and boarding passes
The Kingston ferry terminal is at 11264 State Route 104, Kingston, WA 98346. Drivers from Port Angeles and the Olympic Peninsula follow US 101 east to SR 104 and cross the Hood Canal Floating Bridge. SR 104 continues east through Port Gamble to the terminal.
Drivers from Bremerton take WA-3 north to WA-305, then turn onto WA-307 (Bond Road NE). WA-307 continues as NE State Highway 104 to the Kingston ferry terminal.
During peak periods, the Kingston ferry terminal uses an automated boarding pass system to stop line cutting. Flashing lights on the overhead signs at SR 104 and Barber Cutoff Road mean the system is on. Drivers follow the signal into the ferry lane and take a pass from the dispenser. A green light sends them on to the tollbooths.
The boarding pass holds a place in line and is not a ticket. Drivers who leave the line after taking a pass need a new one. Peak periods include every weekend and the holiday weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's.
Kitsap Transit buses connect the George's Corner Park and Ride, at SR 104 and Hansville Road, with the ferry. Diamond Parking runs a 73-space pay lot at 1st and Ohio streets in Kingston.
The Kingston ferry terminal has a heated, sheltered outdoor seating area and restrooms. For pick-up and drop-off, drivers use the right-hand local lane and turn right at Washington Street, in front of the tollbooths. Cyclists leaving Kingston skip the vehicle line and pay nothing. The Kingston ferry terminal has one bike rack, which holds 8 bikes.
