Southworth ferry terminal and dock: parking and directions
The Southworth ferry terminal sits at 11700 SE Sedgwick Rd, Southworth, WA 98386. From I-5, drivers take exit 132 and follow Highway 16 west about 23 miles to the Highway 160 (Sedgwick Road) exit. Drivers turn right onto Highway 160 at the stop sign and follow it about 7 miles to a second stop sign. A right turn there leads straight to the Southworth ferry dock.
From Bremerton, drivers take Highway 16 east to the Sedgwick Road (Highway 160) exit and turn left onto SE Sedgwick Rd. After 7.3 miles, a right turn onto SE Southworth Dr leads to the Southworth tollbooth.
Vehicles line up on SE Sedgwick Rd and reach the Southworth tollbooth first come, first served. When the line backs up to the SE Southworth Drive intersection, every vehicle joins the ferry line on SE Sedgwick Rd.
U-Park System runs the paid parking lot to the right of the Southworth ferry terminal, with about 215 spaces. Drivers pay by license plate, and U-Park also sells monthly passes. Vehicles with a valid disabled parking placard or license plate park free in the 10 ADA spaces, or in any open space not reserved for other uses when those are full.
Kitsap Transit buses serve the Southworth ferry terminal. The Kitsap Airporter runs buses from Sea-Tac International Airport to the Kitsap Peninsula.
The Southworth ferry terminal has one bike rack for 8 bikes. Cyclists bound for Vashon Island stop at the vehicle tollbooth to pay. Cyclists bound for Fauntleroy ride straight to the front of the dock, since WSF charges walk-on passengers and cyclists no fare from Southworth to Fauntleroy.
Fauntleroy ferry terminal parking and directions
The Fauntleroy ferry terminal sits in West Seattle at 4829 SW Barton, Seattle, WA 98136. From I-5, drivers take exit 163A over the West Seattle Bridge to Fauntleroy Way SW. Fauntleroy Way SW runs about 3 miles to the Fauntleroy ferry terminal, just past Lincoln Park.
The Fauntleroy ferry terminal has only limited street parking nearby, and WSF asks drivers to avoid blocks signed for permit parking only. King County Metro buses serve the Fauntleroy ferry terminal.

Vashon Island ferry terminal parking and directions
The Vashon Island ferry terminal sits at 10800 North Vashon Highway, Vashon, WA 98070. Drivers head north on Vashon Highway, the main road on Vashon Island, which ends at the Vashon Island ferry terminal.
Parking for the Vashon Island ferry terminal is about a block uphill from the dock, and park and ride lots are in town. King County Metro buses serve the Vashon Island ferry terminal.
WSF collects no fares at the Vashon Island ferry terminal. Cyclists skip the vehicle line and wait near the terminal building, which has one bike rack.
When the Fauntleroy–Vashon–Southworth ferry is busiest
WSF's best times to travel guides mark weekday afternoon sailings from Fauntleroy as the Fauntleroy–Vashon–Southworth sailings most likely to fill with vehicles. Weekday early morning sailings from Southworth sometimes fill. Most late evening sailings are unlikely to fill.
The best times guides cover vehicles only. WSF says walk-on passengers and cyclists almost always find room.
WSF asks drivers to be in line at the tollbooth at least 20 minutes before a sailing, and walk-on passengers to be aboard at least 5 minutes before. Carpools and vanpools get preferential loading when they are ticketed and in line 10 minutes before the sailing.
