Terminal
Originally called Ellis Landing, the Richmond ferry terminal, serving the Richmond – San Francisco ferry route, was originally opened in 1999. However, the dot-com bust and subsequent economic downturn caused ferry service from Richmond to be discontinued in the late-2000s. The terminal was reopened, and ferry service to San Francisco from Richmond was reinstated on January 10, 2019.

By AC Transit bus service
The Richmond ferry terminal is served by the following AC transit bus route.
- Line 74: San Pablo Dam – 23rd Street (via Richmond BART)
AC Transit Line 74 will stop at the Harbour Way S & Ford Point bus stop located next to the roundabout. From the roundabout, you are a very quick walk away from the terminal.
By Car
If traveling or commuting from north of Richmond:
- Take I-80 W to Cutting Blvd.
- Take Exit 15 for Cutting Blvd.
- Travel on Cutting Blvd. to Marina Way S
- Turn left on Marina Way S and take to Hall Ave.
- Turn right on Hall Ave. and take to Harbour Way S
- Turn left on Harbour Way S
- Parking lot will be located on your right near the terminal
If traveling or commuting from south of Richmond:
- Take I-580 W / I-80 E
- Take exit 13B for I-580 W towards Richmond
- Continue on I-580 W towards exit 9A
- Take exit 9A for Cutting Blvd.
- Turn right on Cutting Blvd.
- Turn right on Harbour Way S
- Parking lot will be located on your right near the terminal

Richmond ferry parking is available for free in the lot located next to the terminal. The lot has a total of 362 parking spaces including 15 public access spaces and 8 accessible spaces. All parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and the lot is unattended, so do not leave any valuables visible in your vehicle. Overnight parking is prohibited.
